★★★★½ (4.5 / 5) As a Google reviewer, I am always on the lookout for dining spots that bridge regional Asian flavors with high-efficiency urban service. We stopped by Fat Chow Bali for lunch, and overall, it proved to be a vibrant and reliable spot that clearly understands its clientele. The Highlights: Flavor Profile for Urban Asians: The menu strikes an impressive balance. The overall flavor palette aligns exceptionally well with the palates of Asian city dwellers—refined, punchy, and well-seasoned without feeling overly greasy or uncomfortably heavy. Exceptional Service: The staff here deserve significant credit. They are genuine, warm, and attentive without being intrusive. Speed & Efficiency: Even during a busy lunch hour, the kitchen and floor staff operate with incredible speed. Dishes arrived quickly, perfectly paced for a seamless dining experience. Constructive Feedback for the Kitchen: The primary area where Fat Chow falls slightly short—and the reason for withholding a full 5 stars—is the Tom Yum. Tom Yum is a staple of traditional Thai cuisine, defined by its clear, bright, and sharp citrus-herb broth (driven by lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and chili). However, Fat Chow’s version is heavily leaning toward a coconut-milk-rich Laksa style. While this rich, creamy adaptation might appeal to Western or European tourists who prefer a milder, smoother curry profile, it is instantly noticeable to Asian diners accustomed to authentic regional variations. Conflating the sharp, aromatic sourness of a traditional Thai Tom Yum with the heavy, coconut-driven profile of a Southeast Asian Laksa compromises the dish's identity. For a restaurant that gets so many Asian flavor nuances right, sticking closer to a traditional Tom Yum profile—or at least offering a clear Tom Yum Goong (authentic) vs. Tom Yum Nam Khon (creamy) distinction on the menu—would elevate the dining experience for seasoned palates. Final Verdict: Fat Chow remains a standout choice in Bali for a fast, delicious, and friendly lunch. With a slight tweak to their authentic soup preparations, it could easily be a flawless 5-star establishment. Highly recommended for a satisfying lunch, but order the Tom Yum with adjusted expectations if you are looking for classic Thai broth.

Came here twice during my week-long Bali trip and really enjoyed it both times! Highly recommend the Fat Chow fried rice and Tom Yum — both were delicious. The vibe is great! For lunch, come before 12 pm, and for dinner, come before 6 pm to avoid waiting. You can also WhatsApp them for reservations. As the restaurant is semi open, it gets a bit warm during lunch time, but lemongrass tea is very refreshing and perfect for the Bali heat. Will definitely return on my next trip to Bali!

Fat Chow in Kuta feels like the kind of spot you stumble on and instantly want to stay. The vibe is casual, with flowers spilling over the roof and a laid‑back street setting. The food is all about bold Asian flavors—crispy wings, fresh spring rolls, and stir‑fried noodles that taste like comfort. Drinks come playful and refreshing, perfect for Bali’s heat. Prices are fair, portions generous, and the whole place makes eating out feel easy, fun, and satisfying.

Had a great dining experience at Fat Chow. The food was incredibly flavourful with a fun mix of Asian fusion dishes. Everything we ordered was well seasoned and nicely presented. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot worth visiting when in Bali.

If you are in Kuta I recommend you visit them. Prices are a bit ove average but well worth it. I ate the wagyu burger and it was very delicious. The staff is very kind and the atmosphere is awsome. I recommend you make a reservation if not you might have to wait for half an hour.
