There are cafés… and then there are experiences. And Moodest? Moodest is the kind of place that makes you question every other cup of coffee you’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, it feels like Bali itself decided to design a coffee shop—lush, breezy, effortlessly cool, but never trying too hard. The space hums with that perfect Umalas energy: calm enough to linger for hours, stylish enough to make you feel like you accidentally stumbled into a magazine shoot. And then… the coffee. Not just good. Not just great. Dangerously good. The kind of coffee that makes you pause mid-sip and go, “Wait—why is this better than everything else?” Whether it’s a silky cappuccino, a bright espresso tonic, or a perfectly balanced long black, you can tell they actually care about what’s in the cup. But Moodest doesn’t stop at coffee—it overdelivers. The food? Elevated café classics that somehow hit that sweet spot between indulgent and clean. Think brunch that feels a little decadent, a little wholesome, and completely worth canceling your next plan for. And the vibe? Immaculate. You’ve got digital nomads quietly thriving, couples lingering over late breakfasts, and that one friend who came “just for coffee” and is still there three hours later ordering a second meal. It’s not rushed. It’s not loud. It’s just… right. Even better—it’s one of those rare places that works for everything: morning reset, midday work session, lazy brunch, or casual dinner with a glass of something good. By the time you leave, you’re already planning your return. By the second visit, you’re calling it your spot. Moodest isn’t just a café—it’s a whole mood. And honestly? Bali would not be the same without it.

Always passed this place whenever I had meeting within umalas area. I promise my self to have breakfast or lunch here. A bit difficult to get parking as located at the junctions. Came here around 3pm so passed the lunch time and I can sit peacefully at the corner table. Ordered salad and it was delicious. The staff just need to be more nice and friendly to a local as we are also a customer who pay same amount of money. Must treat all customers equally as most of the time customer will come back because of hospitality. The food is good but I might not come back as the attitude of the staff not really care towards locals.
