The place is nice, but I recommend to go for drinks or a wine. The food is good but is really small and prices are European prices, if you want to have good dinner you need to order many dishes or double portion and it will be super expensive. . Is very expensive place for Bali and is not a Michelin start restaurant. For a bottle of wine is go. Nice views and nice staff. I will back just for drinks until they change the size of portions. You can see the octopus is almost like the lemon size. They even charge you the bread. The empanadas are the smallest ones. 50€ per person in bali for some tapas is too much.

Nice. Nice and pleasant. Plus you get good food. A true tapas/ pinchos place. They offer simple and good food at manageable portions. The wine by the glass offers are nice from Spain and Australia instead of just local wines … the tastes actually pair well. The ambiance is classy, light music, and very proper sound system that allows the guests to talk and have conversations without yelling. The service was Balinese hospitality all the way thru. Overall, highly recommended.

Our biggest regret with this place is coming here on our last night in the area. We wish we had found it sooner! We made an early booking at 6pm to dine at sunset and when seated outside we were provided with bug spray, next level hospitality considering the outdoor seating backs onto rice padis. The food itself was delicious, true tapas style dining so you can share with your table and try a bit of everything. The only thing I’d say is the churros were a bit under, possibly the dry oil was too hot, but still delicious either way! Next time we are in the area we will return!

We tried AKELARE last night and can say that the Umulas/Bumbak area has another great venue to dine at. The menu has a wonderful selection of tapas, excellent cocktails and well paired wines. Was a tad wet last night so we didn't go to the courtyard out the back. We had a table of 5, and tried many dishes. Stand outs where the - pork belly, awesome crunch factor.... - scotch fillet with chimichuri - garlic prawns, with sour dough to soak up the wonderful garlicky oil... - bbq squid, a classic done to perfection - grilled eggplant - portabello mushrooms, strong in mushroom flavour - superb. Service was excellent, non invasive yet attentive. Far above your expectations for a newly opened restaurant Good selection of wines that all matched the menu well. The atmosphere is elegant and extremely comfortable. Simply put, you must try it
