AVOID THIS PLACE! don't be fooled by just looking at the pictures, read the reviews before you book! Our stay at Taulan social hideout was deeply disappointing, and I strongly urge travellers to avoid this place despite how appealing it looks in the pictures. don't be fooled by the pictures! Infestation Issues: We booked the private pool villa, hoping for a luxurious and peaceful experience, but the villa was infested with lizards and geckos. They were everywhere and made loud, incessant noises throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. This is a serious concern for anyone who is uncomfortable with lizards or other insects. For those with phobias or trauma related to these creatures, this hotel will be a nightmare. Noise Problems: To make matters worse, the villa was located close to the main road, and the lack of soundproofing or insulation meant that we were constantly disturbed by loud traffic noise. The combination of road noise and the sounds from the geckos made it one of the worst sleeping experiences we’ve ever had while traveling. Last thing you want on a holiday is a good night sleep! Unhelpful and Poorly Trained Staff: When we raised our concerns about the lizards and noise, the staff downgraded us to a garden villa. However, they refused to refund the price difference despite this being a clear downgrade in accommodation. The staff at the front desk were dismissive and seemed poorly trained to handle guest concerns. Their lack of professionalism and unwillingness to assist only added to our frustration. Misleading Advertisements: The photos and descriptions of the property online are incredibly misleading. The images create an illusion of luxury and tranquility, but the reality is far from it. The condition of the rooms and the overall experience do not justify the high price point. Overall, this was an awful experience, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. There are plenty of better options in Bali where you can truly relax without dealing with infestation issues, constant noise, or unhelpful staff.

Pros: This resort is really not bad for the design, everything seems perfect and be able to take nice photos as its romantic interior with the open bathroom with bathtub. Nice restaurant around the resort with walking distance. Cons: The noise is so disturbing as our room close to the road. Open ceiling bathroom abit awkward while using the toilet. Walking on the road is dangerous as the motorbike will riding passed close to you, need to be careful.

Very chilled vibe, tropical gardens with a beautiful landscape, the pool is well maintained, overall the venue is clean and the staff are lovely, the room design is the classic tropical/Balinese style. We booked for one night only but if would definitely stay here again!

The Villa and stunning pool is set in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately we thought the rooms looked good, but found that the bathrooms had spider webs, wasp nests, rat droppings, cockroaches, and not enough toilet paper, no water bottles, no kettle, coffee / tea in the one room. The bed linen looked and felt unclean. Breakfast was great. We used the pool at night which was awesome.

Lovely wooden villas, simple and elegant decoration. The outdoor bathroom is really comfortable, beautiful pool. Small resort, very friendly and attentional staff. Bring earplugs as close to a noisy street (traffic, not party street). Location is OK - a bit farther away from everything so make sure to organise your transportation.
