Well I was sceptical! However for a high end Indonesian recommendation we had to go there and try it out. Was a late lunch so not busy. The Architecture of the place is impressive. Great atmosphere and ambience. We tried 4 small plates that did not disappoint. The buns were amazing The prawn and pork dumplings inmlaksa sauce were incredible. The chicken was exquisite and the duck 🦆 was not what you would expect in a good way. Then the beef cheek came out which was special. The desserts were awesome and the White Chocolate Vodka Martini was incredible. Expected a massive bill but it was very reasonable considering other top end restaurant prices in Bali. Great food. Great flavours. Really well done. Staff were terrific which seems to be a constant theme in Bali. Worth the visit.
View on Google⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Without a doubt, this was the best Indonesian food I’ve had in Bali. Every dish was packed with authentic local flavors and beautifully presented. I loved that they serve a variety of sambals to taste, each with its own unique character, and they truly showcase the richness of Indonesian cuisine. The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, making it perfect for a special dinner. Everything from the service to the presentation was flawless. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Merah Putih is easily one of the best restaurants in Bali and a place everyone should experience at least once. If you’re looking for authentic Indonesian cuisine in a stunning setting, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleThis is an up-class restaurant that serves local Baliness cuisine with a modern-fusion twist in a good way. Everything on the menu looks good honestly, so to skip the thinking part, we went for the tasting menu for 2, which comes with 10 dishes (including 2 desserts!!). Most of the dishes are already highlighted as recommended on the Ala carte menu, so basically you get to try out all the chef's special. Personally, I love all the dishes and it is hard to pick one of my most favourite. Most of the dishes are really a tasting portion. But the last main dish Semur Sapi (which is a beef rib eye) came out to be a sizeable portion that can be mistaken as a main course. That itself really made our tummy full and there were still 2 desserts to end. We also ordered a bottle of wine to go with the dinner. What I love is they have their own wine cellar. So if you can't find the wine you were looking for on the menu, chances are you can talk to the server and they could find your wine. This happened to me when I was looking for a bottle of Amarone.
View on GoogleWe had a wonderful dining experience at Merah Putih. The tasting menu showcased beautifully presented dishes with excellent flavors, and the starters and mains were the highlights of the evening. One suggestion would be to include a palate cleanser between courses to refresh the taste buds. While the desserts didn't quite match the high standard set by the earlier courses, they were still enjoyable. Overall, it's an excellent restaurant that I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Bali.
View on GoogleMerah Putih is a must-try fine dining experience in Seminyak. We chose the Tasting Menu One, and every course showcased authentic Indonesian flavors with elegant presentation. My favorites were the Lawar Bebek, beautifully served on a wooden platter with a delicious Balinese duck salad, and the Soto Cumi, a unique shaved squid soup that was incredibly flavorful. For the main course, the Sulawesi Chargrilled Tiger Prawn (Udang) was the standout—it was perfectly cooked and a dream for seafood lovers. We also enjoyed the Bakpao Sapi, Ayam Bakar, and Sapi Garo Rica, so come really hungry because the portions and courses are very satisfying. To end the meal, I loved the refreshing Belimbing dessert with starfruit sorbet and raspberry granita, while the Tape Ketan wasn't quite to my personal taste. Combined with impeccable service and a stunning ambiance, it was truly an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you Merah Putih for the surprise birthday dessert🤎
