Pros: Location is good as It is located in the central area where all the cafes, restaurants are. Spacious room with living & bath room with modern design. Cons: it would be better if it has the double bed options for friends. No TV in the room, we couldnt watch Netflex at night when chilling.
View on GoogleA beautifully conceived hotel that is currently coasting on it. The founders have since moved on to new projects and you can feel the gap they left…feels dead inside. Twelve rooms total and only 4 with a pool which I was gunning for. Tropical brutalism that still holds up a decade later… raw concrete and wood. The room is spacious and lovely for a couple and snapping some photos. The bones are good. Then there are the contentious points…hangovers from the hotel being on autopilot: The music system…something I laughed at when they told me the speakers are controlled by the hotel… originally Reverberation Radio, a live vinyl feed and sounds super cool, is now 8 songs on a loop. Day one, fine. Day six…punishment. The USB-only charging by the bed is a relic that no one has bothered to update. The pool is private, shaded entirely, more decorative than functional. The open-plan upstairs area is lovely, completely empty, and seemingly exists for a concept deck someone made in 2015. I used it myself as a quiet spot to work and sunbath awkwardly while workmen came and went.. for some reason. The noise is the real problem…I was wanted. Little acoustic insulation from the street or from neighbouring rooms. For a hotel whose entire proposition is slowness, selling you atmosphere and retreat, this is a big problem. Staff: some excellent, some visibly waiting for a bus…. The founders must have since moved on to new projects because you can feel the absence here. The Slow is still running, just not on anything…. Three stars…because the design earns them. The experience doesn’t.
View on GoogleThe rooms are spacious and wonderfully modern designed. Good mattress. The bathroom is large and includes all amenities you need (including mosquito repellent, toothbrush). This hotel has no swimming pool, but it is a 6 minute walk to the beach The only disappointing issue was that the bar/restaurant was closed as there was a disagreement between the hotel owner and the bar owner so it came across as quite deserted. Once it will open again, this could very well be the place to be.
View on GoogleAs someone travelling with my husband and our baby, I was really disappointed by how this situation was handled. My husband accidentally booked the wrong room and contacted the hotel almost immediately to correct the mistake and upgrade to a Pool Suite. Instead of helping resolve a genuine error, we were caught in hours of back-and-forth between the hotel and Agoda, with each appearing to pass responsibility to the other. The hotel advised they would only hold the Pool Suite until 3:00 pm, even though the delays were outside our control. During this time, our calls also went unanswered, leaving us with no certainty about whether the issue would be resolved. I understand that non-refundable bookings have terms and conditions, but good customer service is about trying to help when someone contacts you immediately after making an honest mistake. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience. We ended up losing confidence in staying at the property before we had even arrived. It was a stressful and frustrating start to our family holiday, and based on how we were treated, I wouldn’t recommend booking here.
View on GoogleA Fantastic Oasis in the Heart of the Action The Room & Tech The room is absolutely fantastic! It’s packed with high-tech gadgets that work perfectly. One of my favorite features was the 24-hour music system, which you can easily toggle and adjust the volume as you wish. Additionally, all the lights are dimmable, allowing for a beautiful and very pleasant atmosphere. Cleanliness & Detail Everything was spotless. Housekeeping did a perfect job every single day, cleaning and tidying up with immense attention to detail. The room is also decorated with many charming touches that make it feel very special. Facilities & Staff The pool is simply wonderful, surrounded by lush greenery and idyllic lighting. The entire reception team was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful at all times. Location & Noise Regarding the comments about the noise: You are staying in the heart of the action! However, I actually found it remarkably quiet considering the central location. You get the best of both worlds—the vibrant energy of the center right outside, but a peaceful retreat once you're in your room. Summary I had a wonderful time here. If you want to be where the life is without sacrificing comfort, this is the place!
