I rarely left any one-starred review (in fact, never), but honestly I found that there’s something wrong and off about the staff’s attitude. I had to leave my meal unfinished as I felt disgusted with the service already. Oh, did I tell you that the food was actually tasteless?
View on GoogleStumbled across this restaurant while walking through the blazing hot Canggu street. It’s air conditioned restaurant hence the atmosphere is nice and cooling. However the food is quite salty for me and the drink we ordered had ants in it.
View on GoogleAlong with good Nasi Campur and plentiful of vendors with 1.5L bottles of fresh coconut water, finding good bakmi and decently priced in Canggu is a fool’s errand. The only bakmi better than May in Canggu is maybe Bakmie Benny in Tumbak Bayul but half the time I go he’s not open. He’s a third of the price of May for a half portion smaller so i can’t get mad at the idiosyncratic hours he keeps. For my money Bakmie Nau in Ubud is about the best I’ve had on the island but it’s just too far to travel for a snack. That said, the ladies at May do a good job. Everything is fresh and clean, taste is good and it’s still cheaper than bad avocado toast. Compared to several kaki lima street stall, May Bakmi tastes minimally of powdered chicken and instant noodles, the ingredients are prepared with care and I’ll pay the bule price because well … Canggu.
View on GoogleGot laksa for only 37k rupiah. It was good. No hidden charges.
View on Googleeasily voted as one of the best chicken noodles in Batu Bolong, Canggu area, the broth is full of flavor, there is only 1 choice of noodle shape, namely curly noodles, the texture is just right, not chewy, the taste of the spices is very typical of Chinese chicken noodles, but the portion for my size is not much, maybe you can consider making a jumbo portion menu
