We came around 11 AM to this popular spot, and it was already packed! 😁 Some people were queuing for dine-in, some for takeaway, and others were lining up just to take photos at the famous photo spot of the resto — the original place of Gigi Susu. There are seating areas on both the first and second floors, with some sofa-style seats that are really comfortable for chilling. One of the staff, Ms. Ecik, was super friendly and helpful in serving us. 👍 We ordered a variety of coffees and some of their breakfast sets, and honestly, everything met our expectations. The food was good, and the coffee was enjoyable too. The ambience has a nice wooden-style architecture. It can get quite lively and rowdy because there are lots of people, but it still feels comfortable enough to hang around and enjoy your time. We came in August, and even though there’s no air-conditioning, the weather and airflow were cool enough, so it wasn't a problem. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. Good food, nice coffee, friendly service, and a unique atmosphere. Definitely a place we'd visit again when we're back in the area! 😊
View on GoogleAbsolutely loved our visit to Gigi Susu! The food was fantastic - especially the folded egg bun with bacon, which may look simple but is incredibly flavourful. We also tried the “ribbon on cup” (strawberry matcha croissant flavour), and it was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. The salted almond latte was another standout. A big plus for us was how baby-friendly the café is. Our 10 month old was well catered for with a fruit plate and avocado toast with mushrooms. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommended! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Bali!
View on GoogleStopped by for a quick coffee and pastry treat after lunch, and it did not disappoint. The pastries were flaky, buttery, and delicious, paired perfectly with a solid cup of coffee. Cozy atmosphere too, will definitely be back!
View on Google* Food: I liked the taste of the food, but I’ve had better experiences at other cafés in Canggu… * Service: I wasn’t even finished when the waitress took my dish. I felt like, “Time to go? Why so soon?!” * Atmosphere: Yes, it has a nice vibe… but I’ve seen better places here. I’m here because I wanted to see what all the hype was about… I mean, the viral trend… It’s just a normal place, nothing special.
View on GoogleOverhyped cafe with large number of positive google reviews but our experience was to the contrary! Food was reasonable but nothing at all worth the hype! The sourdough chicken/halloumi sandwich was as how it should be and so were croissant and buttermilk chicken and cheese & tomato focaccia - nothing special about them! Shakshuka did not have any salt in it. Spaghetti Aglio Olio had too much garlic - we have had better at other places in Bali. I asked for flat white and they served me at room temperature. When I asked why it wasn’t hot, I was told I didn’t ask for it - isn’t it too obvious that flat white coffee has been either hot or iced? The cafe doesn’t have any aircon if you’re looking to cool down in Canggu’s sultry weather unlike other competing cafes. This was our last day in Canggu and we really wanted to try our Gigi Susu as it had the most number of positive review; however, it was a complete let down.
