We've been lucky to have patronized mostly wonderful restaurants and Glaze is one of them. We came here for our anniversary dinner. My husband picked it and it did not disappoint. We were the first to sit down at the restaurant, and since there was only us, I was a little skeptical. Then slowly others started trickling in. I felt better. The ambience was nice, soft jazzy type of music, lighting was moody, nice contemporary decor of wooden mid-mod furniture, plenty of ceiling fans, and mosquito coils under tables for people like me who are just so "sweet" they have to help themselves to some "nectar". I believe the coil and the restaurant being clean kept the mozzies away. Servers were pleasant, light conversations and check-ins with us. That was nice. As I couldn't decide what to get, our server recommended a happy medium which was delicious and filling and cheaper than the other I was deliberating! That's the opposite of what I've encountered. I liked that. So we got the shrimp salad, the calamari to share and my husband got the wagyu steak and wrapped up dinner with an Americano and apple pie. My shrimps were fresh and so were the vegetables in my salad. It was so good I didn't even need the dressing which I asked for it to be on the side. My husband cut me a slice of his medium rare wagyu, so tasty again, no need for any drizzle. The coleslaw was also good. We started with the calamari, it was very lightly battered and fried just right. I could taste a very light dusting of salt and pepper on the batter. The apple pie came warm with a side of vanilla ice cream. It was a good size to share. We came away feeling full, not uncomfortable and we enjoyed our meal very much. Thank you Maria.
View on GoogleWe had an amazing evening at Glaze! From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth and welcoming. We were greeted with a non-alcoholic ginger welcome shot when we received the menu, which was a really nice touch. I ordered a beer, while my fiancée went for a strawberry daiquiri. The beer was a Bintang served in a frozen seidel glass — absolutely perfect in the Bali heat. The daiquiri was good as well, although we both felt it could have had a bit more strawberry and lime flavor to really make it stand out. For dinner, I ordered the wagyu beef. I got 250 grams for around 590k IDR (if I remember correctly), which felt like a very fair price for genuine wagyu. It was served with French fries, though vegetables or rice were also available as sides. The meat was incredibly tender and full of flavor — definitely real wagyu, not one of those “wagyu-style” cuts you sometimes get elsewhere. It also came with a rich brown sauce and a few cherry tomatoes on the side. I’d honestly recommend this dish to anyone visiting Glaze. My fiancée had the pulled pork burger, which was also really tasty and came with fries. Considering it only cost around 98k IDR, it was excellent value for money. For dessert, we shared the dark chocolate torte. It arrived warm with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and a fruit compote on the side. It was absolutely delicious. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that an extra scoop of ice cream would have made it even better. To finish the evening, I ordered a classic mojito, and it was exactly how a mojito should taste. The service throughout the night was excellent. Unfortunately, I can’t remember our server’s name, but she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful the entire evening. They also had a very impressive wine selection, although we didn’t get the chance to try any this time. Hopefully we’ll be back another day. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. I’d definitely recommend Glaze to anyone visiting Bali! Best regards, Emilie & Mathias ❤️
View on GoogleUnfortunately we did not have the best experience at the Glaze restaurant. The staff was very friendly but we waited for 15 min until we could order and another 15 minutes to get the drinks. After the drinks we waited another 15 min. We were shortly before leaving when the food finally arrived, the prawns were cold and one of them was tasting very off. The chicken in the yellow curry was also more tendon and cartilage than meat. Overall a disgusting experience and we hope to get spared by food poisoning. The waitresses apologized, and I'm sure it is not their fault, but we would still not go there again.
View on GoogleGreat inviting, welcoming service. We had the surf n turf platter for two which was so delicious. Steak very tender and flavourful. To top it off, the waitresses played with our son while the restaurant was quiet at the end of the night and we finished our drinks. We loved it here
