If you're craving Vietnamese food, this is definitely one of the better restaurants around. We came specifically for the beef pho, and it satisfied the spot. One surprise was the mango sticky rice—it was well made and ended up being my favorite dish of the meal. The mango was fresh, and the sticky rice had a great texture with a coconut flavor. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great food, great hospitality, and a place I'd happily return to. I recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

I discovered Black Rose Resto on a friend’s recommendation while staying in the Ungasan area, and it was a great find. This cozy, intimate restaurant offers a thoughtful selection of Thai and Vietnamese favorites in a warm and welcoming setting. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and happily accommodated my preference for spicy food. I tried the Thai Basil Chicken, a newer addition to the menu, and it was excellent—flavorful, perfectly spiced, and reminiscent of the street food I’ve enjoyed in Thailand. The dish featured tender bite-sized chicken, a fried egg, rice, and plenty of fragrant basil (with extra basil added upon request). I also enjoyed the fresh vegetarian Vietnamese spring rolls and had the chance to sample my friend’s Pad Thai, which tasted authentic and well-balanced. A fun touch was the collection of small puzzles and games available at the tables, which made the wait enjoyable. If you're craving Thai or Vietnamese flavors while in the Ungasan area, Black Rose Resto is a cute spot with friendly service, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere. I would happily return the next time I'm in the area.

We tried all kinds of food here. We ordered pho, fried rice, summer rolls, and laksa. The laksa is the best, it includes veggies and egg, the coconut milk broth is very rich. Banh xeo is very good, it's a crispy crepe with fillings inside The pho is nice, but could be better, need more spices in the broth. The fried rice and summer rolls are nice. You can request what kind of meat you'd like. Overall good, but i think they are under-staffed, so you have to wait quite a bit for the food. But they prepare a lot of game to try on the table so you don't get bored 👍🏻

Great lemongrass tofu with rice. Som tum was with green mango instead of traditional papaya. The portions aren’t huge so one person could finish a main course. Nice service and I can tell it’s a great team. There is a toilet available

I ended up having dinner there 5 out of the 7 nights during my stay in Uluwatu 😂💞 They have an amazing menu, and honestly everything I tried was so good!! I may have ordered a little too much for just myself, but I still managed to finish it all 😂 And a special shoutout to the lovely ladies working there during my visits, thank you so much for the best company 💓 You made me feel like I was having dinner with friends, even though I was traveling alone. I already miss them and their food, but I’ll definitely be back again!!! Terima kasih x
