Food is cheap, taste is average, service is terrible. Lamb curry is the only good thing here. Everything else is very standard. Teh tarik is watery and disappointing. Cashier (male) has the worst attitude — no smile, no greeting, ignores customers, and even got the order wrong. Completely ruined the experience. One good curry cannot save bad service. Not worth it. Won’t come back.
View on GoogleA comfortable place with affordable prices. The manager or owner was very friendly and consistently maintained a warm and positive atmosphere among the team, which made the place feel welcoming. However, there was an issue with our order. Our food did not arrive, while a table that came after us was already served. After we complained, the staff apologized and explained that there was no kitchen order ticket for our table. They immediately prioritized our order, which we appreciated, although we still had to wait around 60 minutes just for Roti Canai. Overall, the friendliness and good attitude of the staff were a plus, but the order management definitely needs improvement.
View on GoogleI love come here once a week to fulfill my craving for melayu dishes. It's not 100% authentic like what i had back then in riau, but this could help. The place is moderately clean, a bit noisy because the staff greet everyone who comes. I love the interior vibe. Modest; the tegel, the window/jalusi.
View on GoogleFood is okay and it's never change since long time ago. System is never change. They're always having issues when customer has long order. Always forget 1 or 2 of their order and take a bit long time to serve. But taste is a consistent...almost bever change. So we think people who come here are people who want to stay, make a lot of talking and not who are hungry....hehehe probably... Price is still affordable. They move to bigger place so thay can serve more people with better place.
View on Googlemy first time trying warung bunana, here’s my honest amateur review. first of all, i would like to mention that the price is very very cheap and there are many variety of toppings which is a plus for me. they also serve a variety of sizes, so if you feel like you wont finish a large dish on your own, you can order a small one, or when you just simply want to try several menus at once. first one to come is the tea, i ordered cardamon tea just to try the taste and damn it does taste good. i always love tea with spices that is not too sweet. there’s some cinnamon taste in it and of course a variety of spices. if you ever tried chai tea, this one taste like it. very refreshing and warm at the same time. then i ordered martabak india. the taste is a bit bland for me. it has egg, leeks, onions and i think there’s also a diced potato in it. it’s very fragile when you cut it and try to lift it, it just crumbles. it’s not very crispy on the outside, the texture is leaning towards soft rather than crispy. they also serve it with small bowl of curry. once again, the curry taste rather bland compared to other indian cuisines ive tried. the portion is enough to fill your tummy, except for the curry cause while i ate only a quarter of the martabak, the curry already ran out. but the whole dish doesn’t really make me full so i ordered another one. i ordered roti garlic small size. i honestly love this one more than the martabak. you cant blatantly taste the garlic but just a hint of its aroma. it’s way crispier than the last dish but still have soft part in the middle. in conclusion, it tastes like roti canai with a hint of garlic in it. the place is quite comfortable, there are 2 separate dining rooms, the one with the ac and the one with no ac. an adequate place to hang out with friends especially if you’re looking for a cheap place. the interior has a warm tone color with wood accents and a lot of natural light making this place feels very spacious and open.
