We had a wonderful dining experience. The octopus was beautifully prepared, and the Angus steak was cooked exactly as we requested, medium-well, perfectly done without being dry. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The only dish that didn’t quite meet our expectations was the tempura scallops. The restaurant has a lovely modern atmosphere with an elegant ambiance, enhanced by beautiful artwork that creates a sophisticated yet welcoming setting. The hospitality was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. We especially appreciated the beautiful anniversary card and rose, which made our celebration even more memorable. As someone who values accessibility, I was also pleased that the restaurant is accessible for persons with disabilities and those with limited mobility, making it a welcoming place for everyone. An exceptional dining experience that exceeded our expectations. We would happily return and highly recommend Scusa to anyone visiting AYANA Bali.

Scusa at AYANA Resort comes with a fair amount of hype, especially given its Mediterranean positioning and resort reputation, but the experience didn’t quite match expectations. The interior is nicely designed with a Mediterranean-inspired feel—warm tones, rustic touches, and a setting that initially promises a relaxed, coastal dining experience. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t deliver at the same level. While the menu sounds appealing on paper, the execution felt inconsistent and lacked the depth or authenticity you’d expect from a standout Mediterranean restaurant. Dishes were fine, but not memorable, and nothing really justified the level of anticipation the venue seems to carry. The wine list was another disappointment. Selection felt quite limited for a restaurant of this positioning, and pricing was noticeably on the high side relative to what was being offered. It didn’t feel like there was strong value or curation in the list, which took away from the overall dining experience. Service was professional, and the setting does have its moments, but overall the experience felt more style over substance. Given the reputation and location within AYANA, expectations were naturally higher, and it didn’t fully deliver on them. In the end, Scusa is not a bad restaurant, but it doesn’t quite justify the hype. The interior and concept are strong, but the food and wine program need more consistency and depth to match the setting and pricing.

Great dining experience at Scusa - relaxed, cozy restaurant with a nice menu and good options on the wine list. Super friendly staff like everywhere at Ayana. We were very happy with the food and our evening as a whole. Would definitely come back!

5 stars for Scusa! We had a fantastic dinner on 4/30. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. The absolute highlight was the heartwarming birthday surprise for my girlfriend—five wonderful staff members came out with a birthday cake and sang 'Happy Birthday' to her! It made her day so special. Thank you to the incredible team for such attentive and thoughtful service. Highly recommended!

Wonderful restaurant with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They understand wine service and have a great selection of wines from France, Italy, etc. The food and atmosphere were wonderful! I especially liked the oyster and beef carpaccio appetizers.
