It's my first time in Bali and i wanted to try something "local". The restaurant is near my hotel and upon learning that it is owned by an elderly couple, i immediately knew that the shop is legit. In asia, you know a shop is legit if it is a mom and pop. Glad to have my first mie goreng from warung terompong. Support local, guys!
View on GoogleThe cutest little local eatery run by a ma and pa team. Short walk from The Marriott Courtyard, Mercure and The Grand Bali hotels. They cook everything fresh as it's ordered and the food comes out very quickly. So friendly, very very reasonably priced. I'm so happy I found this little gem, we went there twice in 2 days since we have found it. Would have gone there everyday if we stayed longer! I hope they will still be there when we come back. Support the locals! 160k RP fed 4 happy people.
View on GoogleDon’t be put off by appearances… we had the best nasi goreng of 2.5 weeks on Bali and Lombok here. It’s a small family run warung with absolutely delicious food, good prices and way better than any hotel Indonesian meal we had. We took fried fish, mie goreng, nasi goreng and spinach and all was totally delicious. Really great local option to visit and they also do takeaway
View on GoogleSmall local warung with many more locals than tourists (we were the only ones for most of our dinner). Agreed with earlier review about wok hei. This was evident in the nasi goreng ayam. We also had the mie goreng ayam, ikan goreng sambal, fried chicken with vegetables in butter sauce, cay kangkung, and 2 bintang to round out the meal. The portions were right sized for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids were fans of the fried rice and fried fish. Hard to beat the value for the tasty meal. The street noise might be a little loud for some, but it is a road side warung, so it is part of the charm 🙂 Update: have gone back twice. The older couple owners were warm and kind. My kid tried the chicken noodle soup and ate it all.
View on GoogleDelicious food, friendly service. More chilli than I’m used to but easily moved to the side. I enjoyed my very cheap meal here more than the one in the resort earlier in the day.
