If you're looking for an authentic Balinese food experience around Nusa Dua, this place is a true hidden gem. Warung Babi Guling pa Dobil is a legendary spot that's popular with both locals and travelers who know where to find the best food. The restaurant is quite small and the parking area is limited, so expect a bit of a wait during peak hours. But that's part of its charm. The crispy pork skin, flavorful roasted pork, rich Balinese spices, and traditional soup create an unforgettable local dining experience. If you want to taste one of Bali's iconic dishes away from the luxury resorts, this is absolutely worth the visit. A must-try for food lovers looking for an authentic culinary adventure!
View on GoogleIncredible experience. I’ve tried plenty of spots across the island, but I have to agree with the consensus: this is easily the best Babi Guling I’ve had in Bali, and that is not an easy bar to beat. My driver told me this location is legendary to both locals and visitors in the know, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The Food: They focus purely on their specialty. You get a beautiful assortment of meats prepared in different ways—the crackling is exceptionally crispy, and the meat is tender and deeply flavorful. Be mindful that there is a serious spicy kick to the food; it’s delicious, but fair warning if you can't handle heat! The Service: Great and very efficient. The cashier speaks near-perfect English and the lady owner is also quite proficient, so don't be afraid to visit if your Indonesian isn't up to scratch. The Vibe: It’s a bustling, authentic spot. Watching them prepare the portions at the front is part of the charm. The people operating the place are so kind and welcoming. Pro tip: It’s a popular spot for a reason, so it's best to head there for an early lunch to ensure you get the best cuts!
View on GoogleThe Guest Liaison at our resort treated us to the babi guling from here. We liked it so much that we came here the next day for lunch and to try out the pork soup. The babi guling was delicious. So take note that there are 2 queues for ordering with the one on the right for dining in. The staff taking orders speaks English. He will give a number stand, just look for an empty seat, place it on the table and staff will serve the food later, for us, it was 30 minutes later.
View on GoogleAwesome babi guling! Dine in prices start at Rp45,000, without soup at Rp40,000. Great pork, love the seasoning and spices, the veggies, and the spices on the rice make for an awesome nasi campur! Place has enough seating, dine in food made on the spot and can take quite a bit, while takeouts are rather quick and more customizable. Place feels authentic, with the pork visible out back and sometimes there’s a cute pug hanging around.
View on GoogleWarung Babi Guling is an absolute must-visit in Bali! The food was incredibly delicious, with perfectly seasoned crispy pork, tender meat, flavorful rice, and a great selection of traditional side dishes. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and every bite was full of flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick even though the restaurant was busy. The atmosphere was simple, local, and added to the authentic Balinese dining experience. If you’re looking to try one of Bali’s signature dishes, this is the place to go. Great food, excellent value for money, and an experience I would highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back!
