We had the Chic Picnic experience at Toya Beach Bar & Grill and it was truly one of the most memorable parts of our trip. The whole setup was beautiful, very romantic, well-prepared, and perfect for a special occasion or just a relaxing evening by the beach. Watching the sunset while enjoying dinner made the experience feel really magical. The food was also great, with good quality and generous portions. Everything was nicely presented and we really enjoyed the overall dining experience. A very special thank you to Darma, who looked after us during the picnic. She was incredibly kind, caring, and friendly, and really made the experience extra special. She also helped us take lots of photos, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was such a lovely and unique experience, highly recommend for couples or anyone looking for something a bit different and memorable while staying at Sofitel.

During our stay at Sofitel we booked Toya beach grill twice for dinner (in addition to beach day eats) First one was a night they had all inclusive buffet with grills it was definitely worth the price,good selection of sea food and meats. The second time we had a la carte and enjoyed a great seafood platter to share. Atmosphere is great, very cosy, right on the beach. Service was exceptional from greeting to our assigned waiters De Eka and Sri who made sure we had an enjoyable evening on both occasions. There was also live music on both evenings were both pleasant singers. Overall this restaurant is great to enjoy for lunch or dinner.

A little piece of tranquility. The scenery is one great thing but it’s no doubt the care and attention of the staff that’s stand out at the Toya bar. I have visited so many times. I have visited when the weather is Sunny and when the monsoonal rain suddenly releases it self upon the world. 😱 But the staff have always found away to comfort the experience. The surrounding ocean and beach make the Toya bar already great the food is great but no doubt it’s the Staff that make the Toya Bar standout 🤩👏👏👏👏 Nick Kidd

Great Vibes, Complicated Buffet... We had just checked in and while chilling by the beach saw them setting up for the buffet. IDR 688k++ which becomes above IDR 800k per pax after tax. Pricey, yes. But we were up for a moody beach dinner at a resort this established. First session was full, so we got the 8.30pm slot. That’s where things dipped. By the time we went up, tiger prawns were gone, squid almost gone, clams barely there. Mostly fish left, and honestly not that impressive for what we were about to pay. Even grilled beef was down to scraps. The food itself wasn’t terrible, but it felt like we were paying premium for leftovers. That stung. To be fair, there were plenty of other options. Mexican tacos, churros, gelato, fruits, grilled vegetables. All tasted good. Live music was genuinely pleasant, chill and not overpowering. The beach setting carried a lot of the value. You’re definitely paying for the vibes. What bugged me was being told drinks weren’t included, not even a simple self service juice counter. Only plain iced water complimentary. Then the bar menu was quietly handed to us. It felt like an upsell moment layered on top of an already expensive buffet. We did complain, and the supervisor Mr. Andika handled it professionally. Apologetic, calm, sorted things out. That honestly saved the evening and lifted our mood. Overall, unexpected experience for a resort of this level. Strong atmosphere, good service recovery, but buffet execution could have been much better.

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay at Sofitel, and both experiences were excellent. Since the restaurant is outdoors, the weather plays a big role. During our previous stay at Sofitel, it rained so we couldn’t visit, but this time the weather was clear, cool, and refreshing every day. During the BBQ party held three times a week, we even got to enjoy a fire dance performance, and during regular dining hours, live singing performances made our meals even more enjoyable. All of the food was delicious, although considering the local prices, it felt slightly expensive. Overall, my family and I were very satisfied with this place, and it was the perfect way to end our trip with the sound of the Bali waves and the ocean breeze. I will definitely stay at Sofitel again on my next trip to Bali, and I will certainly come back here as well.
