A lovely museum with impressive collections of paintings and statues from different countries and cultures. The artworks are well maintained, and brief descriptions are available in English. Guided tours are recommended if you want to learn more about the history behind the pieces in detail, but you can also explore at your own pace. Friendly staff and good facilities, including a cafeteria, clean toilets, a spacious garden, and plenty of parking space. Just keep in mind it can get hot while walking around as there is no AC, but handheld fans are provided to borrow during your visit. They often have collaborations with other communities to hold events, such as workshops. I really hope more people visit this place. It's a great place for those who love art and history.
View on GooglePasifika museum is located in Nusa Dua, the museum having a large collection of paintings (and also the famous one) from different era which is carefully curated by regions. I visited here specifically to enjoy the European style of Raden Saleh; the sensual & mysterious alluring Antonio Blanco's painting; the lively "firey" Affandi self portrait; and many more... You could examine the technique, the color/ shade/ illusion they've made closely and even the energy! It's all beautiful... sadly, I didn't see Walter Spies paintings. (It's not on display). Fun fact here, Raden Saleh's painting is categorized as the French painter, so go and look for yourself! The museum keeper was super friendly... And there're "must have" souvenir (postcards, photographs, e-money, fridge magnets with pasifika museum paintings/ photographs collection, and books). I recommend you to buy ancient Indonesian archipelago or Bali island map replicas (postcard size). There're plenty of map to choose! I hope after visiting pasifika museum, people would appreciate and celebrate art even more.
View on GoogleThey take a really good care of the artworks. It’s pretty hot inside the buildings, so they give out hand fan/portable mini fan to the visitors. Easy access, highly recommended if you’re looking for a museum to visit in Bali.
View on GoogleCame here during a collaboration between Rindu Dibaca community and Museum Pasifika. The museum is really nice, and the artworks are very interesting. My son and I enjoyed the museum tour, and we’ll probably come back again. There’s no AC inside, as it’s adjusted to maintain the condition of the artworks. But they do provide handheld fans that you can borrow during your visit.
