Factory group tour is only on Monday to Friday (except Public holiday) and the tour starts at 2PM (takes around 60 minutes) reservation is highly recommend through their website :)
View on GoogleA real chocolate factory. If you like chocolate and the food industry, then this is a must-visit place. Tour through the factory is like watching a program "how it's done" with the only difference is that everything can be touched and tasted. Favorably different from fake plantations of coffee-luvak - it's really interesting here. Excursions can be booked in advance by mail, so they are 10k IDR cheaper. The staff is very friendly, but speaks only English.
View on GoogleTours start at 14:00. Weekends closed. First Monday of the month apparently closed as well. Booking by email preferable (saves you 20k and hassle). The tour itself is quite basic. There seems to be a disconnect between the tour and the factory itself as the guide seemed to be surprised a few times "oh this machine is currently in maintenance... oh the process hasn't finished yet..." But well enough. Kids liked it.
View on GoogleWe booked at Chocolate Factory Tour for 15 People, and we got a confirmation. But one day before i contact them to make sure that everything is ok and i got this message: Dear Valued Customer- We Apologize to inform you that we will have the renovation and sanitation in our Chocolate Factory, the Tours will be closed temporary until October 2017 ( tentatively - if the project is faster than expected will be re-informed) You are welcome to visit our shop and taste the product only. Best Regards, Big Tree Farms Management They didn't informed us, what kind of customer service is that? I wrote a E-Mail back but no answer, they just ignored me. I don't recommend this Place at all.
View on GoogleVery friendly tour guide, and a comprehensive explanation of how their company works. If you're looking for willy wonka, this isn't the chocolate factory for you. If you want to see and taste every step in the production of cacao and coconut sugar products, this is the place to do it.
