A well maintained reserve where the monkeys are not as aggressive as seen elsewhere. Even our toddler felt safe. A guide with a camera will accompany you to help get the monkeys close enough for pics, you can either tip them or buy a printed pic for 50k from the pics they take. Toilets are avaible on site. Reccomend to avoid wearing white as clothes easily get dirty when the monkeys jump on you. You can walk about and enjoy some time there or just take the photos and move on.

Great excursion and a truly unforgettable experience! Visiting the Sangeh Monkey Forest was a truly wonderful experience for us! What I appreciated the most was that as soon as we entered the park, a guide was immediately by our side in a non-intrusive way to keep an eye on us. He explained right away that we should stay completely calm and never pet the monkeys. Of course, you have to be prepared for the fact that you might get a small scratch when the monkeys climb up on you with their claws. However, you don't need to worry about rabies here, as the animals are constantly monitored by the staff. A highly recommended trip and a real highlight of our journey!

We had a really enjoyable visit to Sangeh Monkey Forest. It's a beautiful and peaceful place where you can walk around and see plenty of monkeys up close. Watching them interact with each other and move freely through the forest was definitely fun and made for a nice experience during our time in Bali. Besides the monkeys, there are also some beautiful traditional statues and impressive representations of gods throughout the area. Combined with the trees and natural surroundings, this gives the forest a very authentic and special atmosphere. The staff were also extremely friendly and welcoming, which made our visit even more pleasant. That being said, the main attraction here really is the monkeys. There isn't a huge amount of other things to do, so you probably don't need to plan an entire day for your visit. For us, around one to one and a half hours was enough to walk around, see the monkeys, enjoy the surroundings, and take some photos. Overall, we really enjoyed Sangeh Monkey Forest. It's a great place to include in your Bali itinerary, especially if you like animals and want to experience something different. The monkeys are entertaining, the surroundings are beautiful, and the staff are very friendly. Definitely worth visiting, but around 1–1.5 hours should be plenty of time to experience everything at a relaxed pace.

100% worth a visit! An incredible Hindu Temple, old growth forest, and Monkey Sanctuary all in one. The Monkeys are super chill and the local guides will show you around and let you meet the monkeys up close - they'll hop right up if you stay calm! They'll take photos and print them out for you with a frame for ~$5USD (50k IDR), which is well worth it in supporting this incredible place

Small but beautiful forest. Monkeys are a bit less aggressive that in Ubud forest but I would still recommend not to let the climb on your shoulder neither to touch them. The forest looks really beautiful and it would have been a 10/10 if there hadn’t been these awkward guys following you with their camera and trying to sell photos. The guy, who followed us, did not understood our „No, thank you!“ for more than 10 minutes. That was quite annoying.
