I visited this restaurant for dinner and was directed to the private dining rooms upstairs via a lift, which offered a more comfortable and intimate setting. The restaurant is well suited for large families and gatherings with friends. The food was served promptly and tasted excellent. The table service was attentive throughout the meal — the staff thoughtfully replaced our plates whenever they became full, which showed great attention to detail. The team was polite, efficient, and made the dining experience very pleasant. While the restaurant’s décor appears slightly dated and could use some refreshing, the quality of the food and the level of service more than made up for it. Overall, everything about the experience was enjoyable and well executed.

This place is a pretty nice experience, where they do show you a ton of the ingredients of the food in a display of sorts, before you pick and choose what to order. I think the people I was with said this was Chaoshan food, which is still in Guangdong, but more on the East (my Chinese is very poor, so I likely got this wrong). The things I liked here were the Shrimp and the Steamed Fish (I forget the type, but it was small, and gray scales). I think the food was good, but maybe nothing that stood out majorly to me. Overall, while not amazing to me, I would maybe want to try this place again, to see if maybe there are better items to my liking, as I did like a few items here.

No one makes better Chaoshan style seafood than Haimen Yuzai!
