Food price is little expensive But, Room charge is proper Normal room 360 RMB a night as a business specialty

Stayed two nights with my husband and loved it. Room was big, clean and comfortable. We booked the most expensive room which was only about $70 and we were very happy. We had friends that lived in the panyu district which is why we stayed there otherwise I would recommend staying in the tianhe district which is where all the sites and markets are.||||If you do stay at this hotel make sure to make a reservation at the royal palace for the traditional breakfast service, it was really cool. Not to mention the seafood selection in the hotel restaurant is incredibly impressive.

I don’t like to stay in this hotel. Room is clean but things old.  No non-smoking room.  Old old hotel.

Just a short ride from Guangzhou is the 'Fishermen Village Hotel' at Panyu which rebranded as Hotel Fisher. Well-known for its incredulous spread of exotic land/seafood cusine: anything from crocodile to sharks. The rooms are rather big but dated. Im sure it used to be a grand place in its heyday. Nevertheless the lack of attention to decor is made up for its cleanliness and food. Not exactly catered to the foreign tourist crowd but it is charming in its own way. The locals will probably feel proud to be housed in such an establishment within the GZ suburbs.

Good Parts of the Hotel||||1.) Location is near the Exhibition Halls. ||2.) They have a shuttle bus to and from the exibition halls||3.) Breakfast is not bad at all. Limited Choice, but whatever choice available is really good. though would be nice if they can provide ice water. they were serving cartonned milk and bottle orange juices that were room temperature. ||4.) Room is not bad size, the floor i got was possibly a smoking floor, which is why mine had a faint smell of cigarettes. ||||The bad parts:||||1.) Hotel is NOT english speaking friendly hotel. Only 1 person in the whole front desk team can speak english, even then her english is a little spotty. ||||2.) Housekeeps. They love throwing things away. This is the first hotel i've been to that took 1 piece of shorts 1 piece of shirt, and 2 pieces of underwears from my room and decided to send it in for LAUNDRY SERVICE. Take note, my items were inside the same drawer and their laundry service bag. NOT placed inside the laundry bag, and with laundry service form did not have a single drop of pen ink. In short, it was clear that i had no intention to avail of expensive hotel laundry service.||||but no! they took my clothes, reported them to BOOKING.com. And the email from booking.com clearly was asking me if i wanted to have my clothes washed or not. ||||And when i got back to the hotel desk to say that i don't want to clean my cloths they said that no, we already told the 'agency' about the incident. WTF. And the funny thing is, next day, they reported to booking.com again that i was unhappy with their decision. To begin with, what kind of a hotel would ask booking.com about their own guest's laundry? ||||My canton fair invitee ended up paying for my laundry that costs 88RMB. i did not know about it because she spoke to them in mandarin and said the hotel's waiving the fees. but in reality my friend paid for it. If only i can curse on my tripadvisor's review, would. ||||Next incident : My father had capsule/ medicine containers with his maintenance medicine placed on top of window sil. They were gone by night time.||||What proved to me that the housekeep likes taking things away from the room was the fact that I had left over noodles in a take away container.. also taken away from my room. Which i would of put in the fridge, had the fridge was working. ||||which also reminds me: the fridge and the safety deposit box were both not working. ||||3.) Restaurant. the main feature of this hotel is a seafood restaurant. Food is good, though.. but $$$$$. so keep that in mind. it is situated in a place where you have nowhere to walk to, so you're stuck in their restaurant. Forced to pay their $$$$$ prices.||||||In Closing||||Stay away from this hotel as much as you can. It is so crazy expensive, and the housekeepers seem to be running a laundry scam. I am sure the laundry company gives money to Fisher's Hotel staff, otherwise why would they be so enthusiastic about laundry service. Even to the extent of reporting to the "agency" which is booking.com.||||WIFI and internet is USELESS btw. i live through my pocket wifi.
