A legend. Now we know a little more about him visiting his ancestral home, and seeing hordes of people on a weekend truly speaks of this legend. There were more senior people and there were also many young people, who obviously did not live through that era but would have heard of this kungfu master and made it a point to visit this home. If he was still alive, he would be 86 years old and one wonders how much more he could have contributed to the kungfu world. Nonetheless it was worth the walk here as you could see traditional guangzhou buildings and architecture all the street.
View on GoogleAs a Malay Muslim Singaporean on a business trip, I honestly didn’t expect to stumble onto a place like this — just followed my friends only 😄 But wow! The moment I stepped in, I was quite blown away. The whole vibe was something else, and of course I had to take all the touristy shots... no choice 😂 What really hit me was the nostalgia. Seeing everything brought me back to when I was a kid watching Bruce Lee on my dad’s TV, imagining I was fighting alongside him... Those memories all came back at once. Also, the way the building has been restored is seriously impressive. It blends the old-school charm with a fresh, modern touch — not easy to do, but they pulled it off nicely. Definitely a place worth coming if you just want to soak in some history and reminisce a bit.

View on GoogleOne of my absolute fave experiences in Guangzhou? Just getting lost in the ancient lanes of Yongqing Fang after checking out Bruce Lee Paradise—seriously, it’s a vibe. The tiny alleyways, classic Cantonese houses, and peaceful feels hit different. Every turn, you feel like you’ve tumbled into a living storybook. 🏮✨ Then you step into Bruce Lee's Ancestral Home (43 Guanlan Rd, Liwan District, Guangzhou, open 9:00 AM–5:00 PM daily). Honestly, I was shook at how modest it is. Super humble entrance, but inside, you’re standing where a legend began. Feels wild thinking the “Dragon’s” roots are right here in such a chill, ordinary spot. It’s proof that true greatness can glow up from anywhere. 💛 It’s not some flashy museum—picture more of an intimate, soulful memorial. I found vintage family pics, old letters, epic movie collectibles, and even actual Wing Chun wooden dummies. Every little detail has a story, and you’re literally breathing in Bruce’s journey. As I wandered, I couldn’t help but fangirl over all the martial arts icons that shaped Chinese culture—Wong Fei-hung, Ip Man, and Bruce Lee himself. Legends upon legends! Their stories still light a fire for people everywhere. 🥋🔥 The real magic here? It’s not just the cool displays, but the pause for reflection. Standing where Bruce once learned, I remembered his iconic line: “Be water, my friend.” 🥲 It’s a reminder that no matter where you start, it’s all about that hustle, leveling up, and never stopping your growth. Bonus hack: Entry is totally FREE! 🎉 Yup, good things don’t always cost a cent. If you’re ever in Guangzhou, add Bruce Lee's Ancestral Home to your to-do list—stat. It’s not just a touristy pic spot; it’s a whole mood of inspiration, tradition, and untold history. Sometimes the deepest life lessons come from the simplest places. Soak it in, fam! 🌏✨ Address: Bruce Lee's Ancestral Home, 43 Guanlan Rd, Liwan District, Guangzhou Opening Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (daily) Tickets: Free entry! #guangzhoutravel #yongqingfang #martialarts #bruceleeancestralhome #heritagetourism
View on GoogleI suppose Bruce’s dad must be a wealthy man back then cos this place is huge. For Bruce Lee fans the exhibits inside are nothing new. Luckily it’s free, of not pay to go inside, open till at least 9 pm. Many great eateries on the way here.
