This place is a multi Michelin award winner serving Cantonese style white cut chicken 白切鸡. The chicken is the kampong run in the ground chicken跑地鸡. Meat is tender but slight bony. It comes with scallion sauce and non chilli as it is Cantonese cuisine. It tasted good. The surprise was the kailan which was nicely done and crunchy. Overall 4 stars for the food and service. Food was on the expensive side, understandably so because it is Michelin awardee. Recommend to try out this hidden treasure.

From 天鹅贵宾馆, it’s about a 20-minute walk. Surprisingly, there wasn’t a long queue, likely because this spot is frequented by locals rather than tourists, as it’s situated in a neighborhood area away from the city center. Let’s talk about the food: this is, without a doubt, the best 白切鸡 I’ve ever had. Every bite, from the tender meat to the flavorful bone, was a delight. The taste is rich yet balanced, showcasing the mastery behind this iconic dish. The fish belly pot was another highlight—fresh, soft, and cooked to perfection, it was a comforting and satisfying dish. As for the lotus root, it was decent, though I wasn’t a fan of the ginger flavor. But that’s just personal preference. Overall, this spot is absolutely worth visiting if you’re in Guangzhou and want to experience an authentic and outstanding 白切鸡. The journey may take you off the beaten path, but the reward is an unforgettable meal that captures the essence of local flavors.

Asked the lobby staff in White Swan Hotel to recommend something local and this is not too far from the hotel (10 mins ride with DiDi). The chicken meat is flavourful like the others we had in Guangzhou, the chicken they served is not so meaty though. Honestly, we have plenty of poached chicken options in Malaysia that are as good if not better. Perhaps we are just biased to our taste buds haha. The other options on their menu are not tempting to us so we settled with something simple. The soup they served are too thick for our liking. Anyway, it's still good to give this a try if you are around here!

The quality of the chicken is definitely going downhill. There are many other choices in Guangzhou have much better taste with very good customer service. Waitress at this chicken place were rude and let you feel unwelcome. Bad food and service reflected their business being slow. Locals are not going there anymore.
